So God Made a Welder
And on the eight day, God looked down on his planned paradise and said, "I need a craftsman." So God made a welder. God said, I need somebody willing to get up before dawn, work in ditches and mud, extreme heat or freezing cold and breathe hazardous fumes all day. So God made a welder. Someone who is willing to come home dirty and dog tired every night smelling like metal with grinding dust in their arms. " So God made a welder. If you shoud see sparks flying from a welder's torch, you can say, "that's Richard, Papa, and uncle doing what he loves best: working and welding.
He leaves to mourn his wife Lillie Faison Dixon, Daughter Andre Dixon-Whitfield, stepson Aubrey Wynn(Etta), grandaughters Shalae Wynn and AuJanae Dixon-Whitfield, grandsons AuJavae Dixon-Whitfield and Shavey Wynn- Rochester, sister, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends, neighbors, caregiver, and a host of neighborly friends in his community.
